Rangers to livestream Indian Super League in the UK

Rangers have agreed an innovative broadcast partnership with the Hero Indian Super League to live stream selected matches in the UK, which has recently begun its hotly contested 20/21 championship season.

The partnership will enable Rangers to live stream selected Hero ISL matches for free on its Facebook page to a UK audience in an exciting collaboration that strengthens Rangers’ growing relationship with the Indian football community.

James Bisgrove, Commercial and Marketing Director commented: “This innovative partnership with the ISL represents a further pillar in Rangers international strategy and cements our ambition to develop a meaningful and long-lasting relationship with the growing Indian football fan base.

It is exciting to see the ambition of the Indian Super League, who are looking to expand their profile and international footprint and Rangers is delighted to be playing an important role in this growth strategy. The ISL is a fast paced and competitive league and we are certain Rangers supporters, and many other football fans in the UK, will be compelled to follow the live action on our social media platforms. Everyone at Rangers sends best wishes to our partner club Bengaluru FC for the campaign and we look forward to welcoming them to Glasgow in July 2021 for a friendly match with the Rangers first team.

“We’ve also been hugely encouraged by the audience numbers in the several millions that have viewed Rangers SPFL Premiership matches live on STAR Sports in India already this season.”

Rangers entered a strategic club partnership with Bengaluru FC in 2019 and have since recruited Bala Devi as the first ever female professional Indian player.

The club went on to broker a landmark broadcast agreement with STAR Sports that has already allowed millions of Indian football fans to watch Rangers live and other 20/21 SPFL fixtures since its launch.
