From the start of the 2023-24 season, beIN SPORTS will be the official broadcaster of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 in 10 territories across the APAC region, after Bundesliga International agreed a three-year deal with the multi-platform sports media company.
The deal includes Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
As well as the rights to show every Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 game, beIN SPORTS also acquired the rights to broadcast the Supercup and relegation play-off matches via the local beIN SPORTS channels and beIN SPORTS CONNECT, beIN’s dedicated live streaming app. beIN SPORTS is a leader in sports programming, and will show a range of additional content including preview and highlights shows, providing comprehensive coverage of every unforgettable moment and ensuring that fans never miss any of the action from Germany’s top divisions.
The extension of the partnership between Bundesliga International and beIN SPORTS, which already accounted for coverage throughout the MENA region, as well as France, Turkey, Australia and New Zealand, underlines the shared commitment the two organisations have when it comes to bringing the best of the Bundesliga to fans around the world.
Kevin Sim, Head of APAC, Bundesliga International, said: “We are extremely delighted to strengthen our partnership with beIN SPORTS and to work hand-in-hand together to showcase the Bundesliga in the Asia-Pacific region. This deal highlights the demand for Bundesliga from industry-leading broadcasters and reinforces our fan-focused strategy.
