FC Barcelona has joined forces with Daka for three seasons.
This union means the trading card company becomes Barça’s partner for three seasons, until 30 June 2025, with the aim of continuing to bring the Club closer to Chinese fans and growing the Barça brand in the region.
Specifically, the Chinese company and the Club will work on creating collectible cards signed by the players, along with digital content, thus helping Chinese fans to get to know their football idols better.
The agreement has been arranged from the Club’s office in Hong Kong and confirms Barça as a brand that sparks great interest among fans in China and in which different reference brands trust for increased recognition thanks to Barça’s local and international renown.
Daka’s assets as a new partner in the trading card category in China will include the presence of the brand on the virtual LED boards around the pitch that viewers in China will see during the broadcast of the matches, access to shirts used by players to be able to create this exclusive product that will be offered to fans along with the trading cards, and the development of audiovisual and digital content with Barça, among others.
The incorporation of Daka as a new partner is also part of FC Barcelona’s objective to proactively seek and work together with partners who are aligned with the philosophy that defines Barça’s brand. This also reinforces its strategy of establishing alliances that allow Barça to continue to be a benchmark, not only on the playing fields, but also in the field of sponsorship and sports marketing.
Bryan Bachner, FC Barcelona’s APAC & AMERICA Global Managing Director said: “We are very proud to be able to collaborate with Daka in the creation of unique Barça collectibles, experiences and products aimed at our fans in China. FC Barcelona has a great fan base in the mainland and, in our continual effort to connect and engage with them, our club is fortunate to have a partner like Daka, who share a like-minded approach to reach our passionate fans and that can create unique, one of a kind experiences for them. The China market is precious for the Club and this partnership with Daka underlines the vitality and dynamism of our mainland project”.
Kenny Yang, Daka’s General Manager said: “It is a great honour to become a member in the big family of FCB. We will pass on every piece of love by making an effort to create brand new collections of Barça. As one of the most popular football clubs, Barça has an extraordinary influence in China. Therefore, it is a mission carried by DAKA as well as Barça to improve the interactions and increase the communications between Barça and the great fans in China.”
