Therabody adds Kevin De Bruyne to its athlete ambassadors portfolio

Therabody, formerly known as Theragun, the global leader and innovator in tech wellness has bolstered its athlete portfolio with the inclusion of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

In 2008, Dr. Jason Wersland, Therabody’s founder and chief wellness officer, invented the world’s first hand-held percussive massage therapy device, Theragun, as an alternative to surgery or pain medication to treat injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. In 2016, Dr. Jason and Therabody’s CEO, Benjamin Nazarian, commercially launched Theragun, making non-invasive pain management attainable for everyone.

De Bruyne said: “Whenever I make a decision to work with a brand or enter into a new business venture, I need to feel comfortable with it. I need to be happy with it. From the moment I saw what Therabody was doing, I was impressed with the products and their evolution. We’ve been working together a little bit now, and I think the company’s going in a really good direction and I’m happy to be a part of the team.”

In 2020, Theragun evolved into Therabody, an ecosystem of comprehensive, industry-leading products that are at the intersection of fitness, recovery, and pain management. Therabody’s solutions are relied on everyday by professional athletes, weekend warriors, and fitness enthusiasts for training, recovery, and injury prevention. Therabody products are used by medical professionals and consumers for treatment of pain, injuries, and ailments including chronic neck and back pain.
