NBA agrees multiyear media partnership with VG in Norway

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and VG, one of Norway’s leading news websites has announced a multiyear media partnership that will provide fans in Norway with two live NBA games each week and a range of NBA highlights, content and analysis.

 

As part of the NBA’s first-of-its-kind partnership in Norway, visitors to VG.no will have access to extensive coverage of the NBA, including highlights, short-form content and articles.

 

Fans with subscriptions to VG+ will have access to premium content, including two live games each week as part of the league’s “NBA Saturdays and NBA Sundays presented by NBA 2K22” Europe primetime initiative that features games tipping off at 6:00 p.m. CET. VG+ Sport subscribers will also have access to an exclusive 30% discount on NBA League Pass Premium, the league’s live game subscription service.

 

Fans in Norway will also be able to watch live coverage of the 71st NBA All-Star Game at Quicken Loans Arena, home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, on Sunday, Feb. 20, which will celebrate the league’s 75th Anniversary Season in 2021-22. Cleveland previously hosted NBA All-Star in 1997, when the NBA commemorated its 50th anniversary.
