AFC Bournemouth appoints SecuTix as ticketing technology partner

AFC Bournemouth have signed a cloud-based ticketing solution SecuTix that will see the introduction of a new ticketing system for the start of the 2020-21 football season.

The appointment is part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to be the most inclusive club in the football league. In terms of their ticketing, this translates into making the process of purchasing tickets the easiest it can be, with particular attention to accessibility for fans with disabilities.

SecuTix will handle both ticketing and hospitality sales through its SecuTix 360° platform. They will also provide audience engagement and business intelligence tools to improve data-driven decision making at the Club and help grow the fanbase.

Dan Clarke, Head of Ticketing at AFC Bournemouth, said: “When considering our ticketing platform, we wanted to ensure we future-proofed the system by working with a partner that can give us access to the most innovative technologies. SecuTix meets this need with an open and connected platform that is flexible enough to handle the inevitable changing nature of fan requirements.

“Of equal importance is our shared vision. When I met the SecuTix team it quickly became apparent that we had in common a fan-first approach to ticketing. I’m looking forward to seeing how this strategy improves the online experience for all our fans.”

David Hornby, Managing Director SecuTix UK and Ireland, added: “We’re proud to welcome AFC Bournemouth to our growing stable of sports clubs and organisations. The SecuTix team relish the challenge set by the Club to support its core value of inclusivity. We’re confident that we can work together to put AFC Bournemouth at the forefront of inclusivity within the sports sector.”

Tickets through the new platform are now on sale.
