It was an ancient affair at the Haute Couture Week in Rome as the ruins of the Palatine Hill created a monumental backdrop for the Fendi Couture Fall/Winter 2019-2020 show. Celebrating Rome in its ageless glory, the Collection as Fendi stated “unfolds in a symphony of shifting impressions.”
Brand’s Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi paid homage by hand-picking elements from Karl Lagerfeld’s archive sketches with 54 looks – the number of years of Karl Lagerfeld’s collaboration with the Maison.
With the iconic Rome’s Coliseum as the backdrop and marvel guests like Anna Wintour, Susan Sarandon, Winnie Harlow Kiernan Shipka, Lilakoi Moonand Catherine Zeta-Jones among others, the evening could be described much like a ‘Great Gatsyby’ party affair. Italian composer Caterina Barbieri painted some beats the guests indulged in an open-air private dinner.
