Coca-Cola inks deal with Lille and PSV to strengthen presence in northern France

Global beverage company Coca-Cola will become the official supplier drink of French Ligue 1 outfit Lille OSC and Dutch Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven.

As part of the partnership, Coca-Cola will become the exclusive supplier of drinks and colas at the club’s Pierre Mauroy Stadium for three years from 2020-21 to 2022-23.

Coca-Cola said it aims to strengthen its presence in the territory of northern France with visibility at all points of sale in the stadium and activation on a national scale.

Also, the Dutch arm of bottlers Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has extended its contract with PSV for five years, from 2020-21 to 2024-25 as per Sport Business.

CCEP markets 15 brands in the Netherlands, including Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Fuze Tea, Chaudfontaine and Aquarius.

Martijn van Weele, associate director for hotels, restaurants and cafés at CCEP Netherlands, said: “Based on our strong A-brands and a varied and balanced range, we can continue to add value in a responsible manner in the coming years. Our joint focus on sustainability plays an important role in this.”
